We recognize the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of personal information. We are committed to protecting any personal information we hold. This Privacy Policy outlines how we manage your personal information and safeguard your privacy.

Your Privacy Rights

From January 1, 2004, all businesses must comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”). These obligations extend to www.armourdevelopment.com. PIPEDA gives individuals rights concerning the privacy of their personal information. You can view the full text of PIPEDA at www.privcom.gc.ca.

What is Personal Information?

Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Personal information includes information that relates to their personal characteristics (e.g., gender, age, income, home address or phone number, ethnic background, family status), their health conditions (e.g., health history, health services received by them) or their activities and views (e.g., religion, politics, opinions expressed by an individual or evaluation of an individual). Personal information is to be contrasted with business information (e.g., an individual’s business address and telephone number), which is not protected by PIPEDA’s privacy principals.

Collection and Use of Information

We do not collect any personally identifying information about users unless it has been knowingly and specifically supplied to us by the user. We will not disclose any personal information about users to any outside party, unless the user has been advised of this possibility before providing the personal information or unless the user has consented to the disclosure of personal information prior to disclosure. We may share information among our affiliated companies for internal purposes.

We collect general information on what pages users visit and information volunteered by users, such as survey information and site registrations.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our site and to learn about traffic patterns to our site. From time to time, we do share general demographic information with advertisers or potential advertisers; however, profiles of individual users are never shared, rented or sold.

User information may sometimes be used by us and our affiliated companies to inform you about changes to our site, new services and offers the user may find interesting.

We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information in order to comply with applicable laws and lawful governmental requests, to operate our systems properly or to protect our rights and property.

Access to Your Personal Information

You may ask for access to any personal information we hold about you. Summary information is available on request. We can help you identify what records we might have about you. We will also try to help you understand any information you do not understand (e.g., short forms, technical language etc.). We will need to confirm your identity, if we do not know you, before providing you with the access. We reserve the right to charge a nominal fee for such requests. If there is a problem, we may ask you to put your request in writing. If we cannot give you access, we will tell you within 30 days if at all possible and tell you the reason, as best we can, as to why we cannot give you the access.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

ArmourDevelopment.com regularly reviews all of its policies and procedures. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time.

A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Like most major websites, we use cookies to better understand how our site is used, to make sure our ads and dynamic content are served correctly and to improve the performance of our site for our users, particularly the way search pages are delivered. We do not use cookies to retain personal information about our users – users remain anonymous – and we do not sell  our traffic patterns to marketing companies. The general information we gather through the use of cookies may be included in the overall traffic reports that we share with our advertisers, who help to make it possible to bring you this site.

Our Website contains links to other sites, which are not governed by this privacy policy. On our website, like most other commercial websites, we may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information in order to optimise our web service. We may provide aggregated information to third parties, but these statistics do not include any identifiable personal information.
